First Watch Daytime Café, known for its sumptuous breakfasts and heart-healthy lunches, is headed to the Shops at Lake Highlands Town Center. The national chain, which currently has restaurants open at Preston & Forest and Campbell & Greenville, has not yet announced when the new store will officially open.

Favorites include the SoCal Breakfast Burrito, with grilled chicken, quinoa, egg whites, avocado and kale, and the BLTE, which includes cage-free eggs and Monterey Jack cheese. You can order Lemon Ricotta Pancakes with a Kale Tonic, featuring Fuji apple, cucumber and lemon, or choose the Belgian Waffle, topped off with a warm berry compote.

Yum.
