RM 12:20 Bistro’s brunch received rave reviews from the Dallas Observer’s Taylor Adams, who praised the restaurant’s cinnamon rolls, Erin’s English Breakfast and croque tartine Parisienne.

“This is a sandwich you have to eat with fork and knife,” Adams wrote about the latter. “This sandwich doesn’t just have a simple cheese slice, but what seems more like a béchamel sauce. It’s not just topped with an egg thrown on top, but with an egg that is delicately cooked, possibly from a hen that lives in paradise.

“RM 12:20 not only offers a brunch worth returning to, but will become a Lake Highlands standard for lunch, happy hour, dinner and whatever it wants to serve.”

RM 12:20 Bistro also received a shout-out from Hoodline. The news outlet used Yelp to see how many reviews were received what what restaurants had the largest percentage increase of reviews. The number of reviews increased by 85.7 percent, but its four-star rating decreased to 3.5.

Its not the only eatery in Lake Highlands that’s trending either. Civil Pour “increased its review count by 23.3 percent over the past month, an outlier when compared to the median review increase of 3.4 percent for the Yelp category ‘Sandwiches,’ ” according to Hoodline.
