“Today is a great opportunity to celebrate,” said Jordan. “These students have worked very hard to achieve their dreams, and they are becoming a reality now. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to stand behind you as you go and do great things and say, ‘this is one of ours.’”

Charles Wilson will play football at Austin College, Alex Roquemore will play volleyball at Agnes Scott College in Atlanta, Cosy Carroll will play soccer at St. Edward’s University in Austin and Adis Salihovic will play soccer at Defiance College in Ohio.

The student-athletes were backed by family, teachers, teammates and friends, and Roquemore, who also dances on the drill team, was accompanied by a large contingent of cheering Highlandettes.

“We can’t say enough about what these kids have done and the sacrifices they have made,” added Jordan. “We love this day.”
