Police said that a dispute spurred the altercation. The teen was arguing with a group in the 7000 block of Fair Oaks Avenue when he fired a handgun into the crowd.  A bullet hit another man’s ankle.

A security guard at a nearby business saw the shooting, and the teen then pointed his weapon at him. The guard shot the 18-year-old in the shoulder before detaining him and calling police.

The shooter has yet to be identified.
