Jakson Thomson to play football at Louisiana Tech

Jakson Thomson #12 with coaches and fellow captains at Back Country Bar-B-Q

Lake Highlands High School quarterback Jakson Thomson will play football at Louisiana Tech. The 6-foot-4, 197 pound pro-style quarterback has been recruited for months by Tulane, Syracuse, New Mexico State, Florida Atlantic and Akron, with school reps visiting the LHHS campus to watch him play.

Jakson made the announcement via Twitter Wednesday.

Thomson passed for 2,000 yards and 21 touchdowns during his senior year, and his scrambling and rushing skills earned more than 600 yards and 7 touchdowns. He’ll join fellow area commits Jonah Brewster, an offensive tackle from Prestonwood Christian Academy, and Mykol Clark, a defensive end from Crowley High.

Congratulations, Jakson!
