When you go to the game, keep an eye on Lake Ridge quarterback Chandler Rogers, who helped secure his team’s 7-6A co-district championship title last weekend with 4 touchdowns. Wide receiver Ronny Gordon (#14), a favorite target, scored the final touchdown in Friday’s 35-24 victory, and running back Dewone Jackson (#11) carried 32 times for 186 yards.

Of course, LHHS has a few weapons of our own.

In addition to quarterback Jakson Thomson, who threw for 5 TDs and rushed for almost 100 yards last week, safety Jonathan Barrows, back in the game after breaking an ankle, and Christian Longoria, who had over 200 yards receiving and 4 TDs, cornerback Dre Eatmond was named Defensive Player of the Week by Dallas Morning News Sports Day. They noted his 7 tackles, 8 pass breakups, 2 interceptions, one forced fumble and one kickoff returned 88 yards for a touchdown against Richardson High. They also praised his performance earlier in the season, when he played with a cast on his thumb after breaking it in game 2 against Plano East.

Tickets will be $8 at the gate, but you can buy them in the LHHS foyer Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for $6 (adults) and $3 (students).
