Update: Vickery Meadow sexual assault suspect may be tied to other similar assaults

A sexual assault in the 6000 block of Pineland Drive may be related to four similar assaults that occurred in Dallas and Bossier City, Louisiana.

On Tuesday, Oct. 30, the suspect knocked on the woman’s apartment door, forced his way inside and showed a weapon before sexually assaulting the resident. The incident’s details are similar to sexual assaults that happened at 14200 Dallas Parkway and 141000 Montfort Drive in mid-September, and two other incidents in Bossier City, near Shreveport.

Police are searching for a young black male, who appears to be between 16 and 18 years old. He is about 5 feet, 8 inches tall, weighs about 140 pounds and has a box fade haircut. He was last seen wearing black clothing and red athletic shoes. The suspect also has a mark on his wrist.

Anyone with information should call a detective at 214-671-3610.

This post was updated Friday, Nov. 2, after police held a media conference with new information that these assaults may be tied to similar crimes in Louisiana.
