The burger joint was 21 years old.

CultureMap broke the news that a “Lost lease” sign was placed on the door of the Old Town Shopping Center restaurant. Franchise group co-owner David Futrell told the publication that despite their efforts, they simply could not get a new lease.

“We fought to the end to stay, but the landlords just wanted something else in that space,” he said. “I opened that store 21 years ago. It was a great location, and we hated to lose it.”

Fuddruckers is survived by five locations throughout the metroplex, including one in Plano and one on Frankford Road.
