Kick back and relax while Folkerth, pastor of Northaven United Methodist Church, opens for Grace Pettis at Uncle Calvin’s Coffeehouse. The show starts at 7 p.m.

- Check out the Retrospective Art Gallery Show at C.C. Young, which opens this Friday at The Point with a reception called The pARTy. Sip champagne and take advantage of free valet parking from 5:30-7:30 p.m. The free event is open daily from 7a.m.- 8 p.m., and guests can see a variety of artists featured at The Point over the last 10 years.

- From 1-3 p.m., join Upcycle Organizing for a period packing party. Volunteers will pack cosmetic bags for teens that don’t have adequate feminine hygiene supplies. The packs will be donated to Focus on Teens, a Dallas nonprofit that supports homeless high-schoolers. Beverages and snacks will be provided at Debby Rogers’ house at 6312 Bryan Parkway.
