Pamper Lake Highlands has teamed up with the Hamilton Park Bobcats to provide resources to mothers in need in the neighborhood.

The nonprofit and youth football team’s first order of business is offering classes to single mothers. They’ll be on the field tonight at 8301 Towns St. from 6:30-8:30 p.m. to answer questions, help women register and dole out free diapers.

“Hamilton Park is a beautiful area that is underserved,” founder Caren Bright says. “There’s so many incredible programs and opportunities that people don’t know about.”

Pamper Lake Highlands offers a series of English as a Second Language and parenting classes, as well as the Bright Futures program, which focuses on positive thinking, setting goals and time management. Women also have the option of taking phlebotomy, medical assistant and child development classes at Richland College for free through the nonprofit.

Women who enroll in the classes will receive free diapers and child care. Learn more about the program here.
