Four ways to spend the weekend in Lake Highlands

This Friday, the Pocket Sandwich Theater is showing the “J.I.M. Experience.” The one-of-a-kind comedy event starts at 11:15 p.m. Tickets cost $15.

Join For the Love of the Lake this Saturday for its monthly Shoreline Spruce Up at White Rock Lake from 8-9 a.m. Volunteers will meet at the nonprofit’s office to grab breakfast and cleaning supplies.

Bring the kids to Half Price Books this Sunday from 3-4 p.m. to enjoy a good tale and a special craft activity at Storytimes and Craft Sundays.

At the Dallas Arboretum, check out Garden Gigs, a live music show curated by three local artists, on Friday from 7:30-9:30 p.m. Tickets at $15 for nonmembers.This Saturday, meet at the DeGolyer Tea Room to enjoy relaxing seasonal teas at either 11 a.m. or 2 p.m. Registration costs $49 and must be made 26 hours in advance.
