The year-old Costco Wholesale just west of Lake Highlands was robbed in broad daylight Sunday afternoon. Police say three men entered the store in the 8000 block of Churchill Way at Central Expressway just after 3 p.m. and smashed the glass jewelry counter. One perpetrator used a pickax, and one was carrying a handgun, according to police.
The thieves stole jewelry inside the case and escaped to an awaiting vehicle. No injuries were reported.
