Want to help children who have been abused or neglected? Buy a raffle ticket (or two) at the Parade of Playhouses

After winning the Grasshopper House from the Parade of Playhouses, Lake Highlands neighbor Julie Noble donated it to Saint James.

If you find yourself shopping this weekend, be sure to check out the imaginative playhouses scattered throughout NorthPark Center’s first floor.

Dallas CASA’s 23rd annual Parade of Playhouses opens Friday, June 29 and closes Sunday, July 15. Donated by local builders, architects and organizations, the whimsical playhouses range from a Whataburger drive-thru to an acorn. To win one for yourself, you can purchase $5 raffle tickets during the event.

All of the proceeds benefit Dallas CASA, an organization that assists children in foster care. More than 1,000 volunteers advocated for 3,118 local children in protective care in 2017, but more assistance is needed.
