Samford Dance Team 2017-18
Highlandette Captain Elaina Dorsey has earned a spot on the dance team at Samford University where she will enroll in the fall. The Samford Dancers entertain at football, basketball and other athletic events and encourage community involvement.
Making the competitive team wasn’t easy – heck, just trying out was hard enough. Tryouts occurred during Elaina’s big week of Highlandette Revue, so the folks at Samford agreed to a video audition. In fairness to the other hopefuls, they waited to send music and instructions until other girls had them, so had to Elaina worked learn and perfect her tryout routine, all the while leading Revue week. Whew!
