Doug and Elizabeth Selzer with Alan and his younger brother

Fans of Lake Highlands High School football were thrilled to watch Alan Selzer part the uprights at Wildcat Stadium, and they’ve missed the 2016 graduate since he’s been away studying at the University of Michigan.

Pine away no more, football fans.

Selzer just earned a spot as walk-on kicker for UM, where his Wolverine teammates have already nicknamed him “Sniper” Selzer – for his deadly accuracy and to distinguish him from tight end Carter Selzer from Kansas City.

Selzer will begin his junior year in the fall studying sports management in the school of kinesiology. Previously, he was chosen by school officials to lead tours of campus, and he has served as social chair and risk manager of his Chi Phi fraternity. Selzer is the son of Janet and Wyatt Davis and Doug and Elizabeth Selzer.

The Wolverines will host SMU Sept. 15. You can see the full UM schedule here.
