Hoops in the Highlands
Think you can hang with the area’s best ballers? Registration for Hoops in the Highlands continues this week, with teams forming to compete for a year of bragging rights. The 15th annual 3-on-3 basketball tournament with divisions for boys and girls in grades K-8 draws hundreds of participants and hundreds more observers each year. The deadline is March 23, and the $120 fee includes T-shirts and player packs. As always, competition day is the first Saturday in April from 8 a.m.-6 p.m.
Proceeds benefit Lake Highlands Junior High, Thurgood Marshall Elementary, Wallace, White Rock and Northlake. You may register your team online here.
