Plano Road could soon by Lake Highlands Drive.
Councilman Adam McGough is looking for public input on a plan that would change the name of Plano Road to Lake Highlands Drive.
The idea, first proposed by neighborhood associations before McGough took office, is to better brand the neighborhood as well as create one name for the street, which currently changes from Plano Road to East Lake Highlands Drive at Northwest Highway.
Several businesses have expressed concerns about the cost they’ll pay in changing their address. McGough plans to discuss the issue in a community forum on Wednesday, Nov. 1, at 6:30 p.m. at Lake Highlands United Methodist Church, 9015 Plano Road.
