Gaines Baty’s Champions of the Barrio is the inspirational story of Baty’s father, Buryl, who rose from humble East Texas beginnings to Aggie football star. When he opted to coach children in a Texas barrio, he fought racism on their behalf. Ranked #1 in “Amazon Top New Releases” in its category, it was featured at the Texas Book Festival.

Caren Bright failed 9th grade (twice) and dropped out of high school, but that didn’t stop her from writing the compelling book, 50 Dates With the Lord. As a family law attorney, Steve Bruneman has helped plenty of couples get divorced. He’s even been through the process himself. His book asserts that relationships require education and effort. The Local Authors’ Book Fair is from 2-4 p.m. Saturday, July 29th at the Audelia Road Library, 10045 Audelia at Church. You can find a full list of authors and books here.
