Dallas Police at the Northeast Division are hosting a Wellness and Safety Brunch for seniors age 50 and older in our community, and they’re hoping you’ll share the word with family and neighbors who might benefit. The July 27th free event will feature health screenings for blood pressure, glucose and other issues and feature guest speaker Dr. Laura Defina, President and CEO of the Cooper Institute. Giveaways include mosquito repellent and a security alert system (while supplies last), and tables will be set up to distribute information on senior health.
Doors open at the Highland Oaks Church of Christ, 10805 Walnut Hill Lane, at 9 a.m. and the program runs from 10 to 11. Participants may RSVP with Officer Bervin Smith at bervin.smith@dpd.ci.dallas.tx.us or 214-202-6255. Breakfast is free.
