Carrie Breedlove has been named the new principal at Lake Highlands Junior High.

Breedlove comes to Richardson ISD from Wylie ISD, where she spent the last two years as assistant principal for McMillan Junior High. She previously served as WISD’s Director of Advanced Academics and as a learning specialist. She has worked in education for 24 years.

Breedlove earned a bachelor’s degree from UT-Austin and a master’s from Texas A&M Commerce.

Former LHJH Principal Veronica Escalante will now serve as RISD’s Director of ESL.

She has moderated candidate debates for Dallas Mayor, Dallas City Council and RISD Trustee races and taught seminars on garnering publicity for nonprofits. She completed training with Dallas Truth, Racial Healing and Transformation and Inside RISD, and she's a sustaining member of LH Women's League.
