The Store in Lake Highlands is celebrating its 15th anniversary this week, and this year there is much to celebrate.
Perky owner Cheryl Calvin, well-known to frequent shoppers and currently undergoing treatment for breast cancer, sends thanks to customers and community members who’ve sent prayers and well wishes her way over the past few weeks. She’s finished her 3rd of 8 rounds of chemo, she says, and has kept (most of) her hair, thanks to Chemo Cold Caps, a technology advancement featured in our March magazine.
To celebrate 15 years in business, The Store will host several events March 2-4, with storewide discounts all 3 days.
Thursday, DeAnne from For Tea’s Sake will be in the store from 3-5 p.m. with recipes for tea-infused drinks and ice creams. The Store will stay open late until 7 that night, with goody bags and an hourly prize walk.
Saturday, The Beignet Bus will be on hand from 9:30 until noon selling their delicious treats, and the first 20 customers will receive free beignets and café au lait or hot chocolate.
Stop in and say hello, says Calvin. There is plenty to celebrate.
