KLIF-FM Hot 93.3 helps White Rock students Stuff-A-Bus with toys for the needy

Students at White Rock Elementary spent December collecting new and gently used clothing and toys for distribution by the Salvation Army, and Friday morning radio station KLIF-FM Hot 93.3 swung by to “Stuff-A-Bus” with all the kids’ donations.

It wasn’t easy.

“Principal Walker, we may have to leave one of our guys here with y’all,” joked on-air personality Dustin Kross. “There’s not enough room for everyone in the van with all these toys.”

After some packing tips from Santa Claus himself, the radio station’s Toyota Sienna finally pulled out of the WRE parking lot stuffed from top to bottom.

“People that aren’t as fortunate as people in our neighborhood, we’re going to give them toys and help them have Christmas, too and help them have a joyful year,” said sixth grader Milan Ray. “It feels good because I get to give to other people.”

“When I imagine these kids getting these gifts, I think they’ll be really happy and grateful,” agreed Ivy Dries. “I’m happy that we did this, because I feel like we actually helped them. It makes my Christmas a lot better.”

Santa stuck around for some snapshots, and later in the day, sixth graders packed lunches for Dallas homeless persons.
