At least one person is injured after shots were fired outside the Department of Public Safety on Northwest Highway near Jupiter this afternoon, tweeted reporters from WFAA-TV.
“There is an officer involved shooting in Dallas involving a DPS Trooper,” tweeted Rebecca Lopez of WFAA at about 5:40 p.m.
The station is reporting that one person was taken to Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital from the scene outside the DPS, which reportedly involved a police officer.
Based on overhead images, a white BMW sedan appears to have several bullet holes on the left side. The car is wedged up against a Mercury SUV in the DPS lot.
Late this afternoon, Dallas Police and DPS Troopers were at the scene.
