It happened in an area of the Lake Highlands region that has seen an abundance of crime this year — the 9900 block of Adleta Boulevard, an abbreviated street that leads DART commuters to the Skillman/LBJ station parking lot. It is a block from the Stone Ranch Apartments where last February police arrested three young men in connection with a total of 17 robberies and burglaries. Maj. Max Geron said at the time Joseph’s murder was committed “without provocation or warning,” which police still believe. It seems no one actually witnessed the shooting, but someone heard it and called 911.

Police reached out to the public again this past weekend for help tracking down anyone who knows anything about this crime. Please contact Homicide Detective M. Yeric, #7178, at  214.671.3677 or michael.yeric@dpd.ci.dallas.tx.us if you know anything. If you have information but wish to remain anonymous contact Crime Stoppers at 214.671.373.TIPS—$5,000 could be awarded for information leading to the arrest and indictment for this or any other felony offense.
