Another crime was reported at NorthPark Center Sunday when a man was shot outside the luxury mall. But unlike the recent robberies, WFAA is reporting that the shooting was the result of a “verbal dispute.”
Two men were seen arguing outside the mall about 3:30 p.m., when both pulled out guns. Eventually, the suspect, described as a black man in his late 20s with a short afro, shot and injured the victim, whose identity has not been released. The victim was taken to Presbyterian Hospital, his condition was not immediately known.
NorthPark Boulevard was briefly shut down as police worked the scene.
The mall has been more focused on security in recent months following several crimes, the most disturbing of which left a mom pepper-sprayed after putting her child in a carseat.
