Wildcats value time-honored traditions. Aggie Wildcats, perhaps, even more so.
The 3rd annual Lake Highlands Aggie Muster, honoring current and former students and their families from the Lake Highlands area, will be held Thursday, April 21st at Scofield Memorial Church. Doors open at 6 p.m., the barbecue dinner starts at 6:30 and the program begins at 7.
Aggie Muster is the tradition – dating back to 1922 – of meeting to remember time spent in Aggieland. The highlight is a candlelit Roll Call for the Absent, honoring those who have fallen since the Muster roll was last read, with a friend or family member answering “here.”
This year’s speakers will be father-and-son team Mike and Carl Baggett. Mike (‘68), an attorney with Winstead, served in the Corps of Cadets and was an Aggie Yell Leader during his days at Texas A&M. He has been president of the Texas A&M Association of Former Students, chairman and trustee of the Texas A&M Foundation, president of the Texas A&M Association of Former Yell Leaders and president of the Dallas A&M Club. He was honored as a Distinguished Alumni and was inducted into the Corps Hall of Honor.
Carl Baggett (’96) is co-founder and general partner of NorCap Investment Management. He was Aggie Student Body President before receiving a BBA and MBA from Texas A&M, and he was awarded the Brown-Rudder Award as the outstanding undergraduate in his class. He is past president of both the Dallas and Chicago A&M Clubs.
Tickets are $30 for adults or $15 for children and should be purchased online here.
