It’s the kind of tragedy that seems especially heart-breaking during Christmas week. Around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday night, Dallas firefighters rushed to a home on Casa View Drive that was completely engulfed in flames, FOX 4 reports.
Three of the five people in the house, including a 6-year-old boy and a teenage girl, were able to evacuate safely on their own. Firefighters rescued two adults, a man and a woman, from inside the burning home near White Rock Lake. The man is listed in critical condition while the woman is in serious condition.
Firefighters have not named the victims, and planned to start investigating the cause of the blaze Wednesday.
The Casa View Haven Neighborhood Association quickly stepped in to set up a GoFundMe page dedicated to helping the family get back on their feet, including providing a Christmas.
