The Exchange Club of Lake Highlands recognized four exceptional Wildcat seniors Friday.
Eloisa Vazquez and Michael Okeke received Character Counts awards, and Mackenzie Jones and Socrates Salinas were named Youth of the Month for November.
Eloisa is the daughter of Sabrina Vazquez and Epifanio Vazquez. She participates in the AVID program (Advancement Via Individual Determination), plays soccer and is a member of the Mu Alpha Theta math honor society. After majoring in college biology, her goal is to become a pediatrician. Michael’s parents are Emanuel and Sharon Ekeke. He is enrolled is several Advanced Placement courses, is a member of the basketball team and is a musician in his church choir.
Mackenzie Jones, the daughter of Kyle and Kendra Jones, is ranked 7th in her senior class. She’s a member of the National Honor Society and Mu Alpha Theta, plays on the soccer team and sings in the A Cappella Choir. She is active in the Park Cities Baptist youth group and will study at Texas A&M in the fall. Socrates is the son of Francisco and Claudia Salinas. He is a member of NHS, Mu Alpha Theta and Student Council. He is on the Wildcat wrestling team and plans to study medicine in college.
