Details are still coming together, but the Dallas Police Department say an 18-year-old woman pulled from a creek near White Rock Lake was murdered.

Police were called the 11700 block of Dixfield Drive on report of a vehicle accident Monday morning after a white Honda Odysessy crashed into the water. Inside the vehicle, police found the victim dead from “homicidal violence,” according to a police press conference (which can be seen on Periscope, although the audio quality is poor).

On Sunday evening, multiple local social media pages carried the same post about a missing 18-year-old woman, who was reportedly last seen that evening driving a white van on her way to a church class. According to the posts, she was a White Rock YMCA employee who graduated from Booker T. Washington High School. The Advocate has not confirmed these cases are connected, and is thus not naming the student. UPDATE: Find more on this story here.
