In addition to brushing up on their Italian, the Lake Highlands High School Highlandettes have much to do before their big Spring Break trip to Italy. They’re planning a dinner and silent auction to raise funds so that every line member can afford to make the journey overseas, and they’re hoping the “A Night in Italy” theme will draw Dette supporters from all over LH.
The party will be held Saturday, Sept. 26 from 7-11 p.m. at the KayCee Club, and tickets are $50 or $500 for a table of 10. In addition to dinner, there will be a silent auction and casino tables, with “mini-reunions” of former Dette lines as the drill team moms are reaching out to Dette graduates to organize their classes to attend. Of course, if it’s a Highlandette event, there will be plenty of great photo ops.
