The new hare play sculpture is installed at the LH North Recreation Center
New play art sculptures, commissioned by the Lake Highlands Junior Women’s League in partnership with the Dallas Parks Department, have been officially installed at the Lake Highlands North Recreation Center. Crews were seen carefully moving the heavy granite boulders into place Aug. 7, and kids have been seen crawling, jumping and playing on them ever since.
The art and play pieces – one is shaped like a tortoise, one a giant hare, and others are abstract – are between the rec center and Church Road.
