And though the two yet unnamed good citizens were “instrumental” when it came to apprehending the suspect, police say, they cannot recommend following an armed robber, because, “such actions are inherently dangerous and unpredictable.”

It was 1:30 a.m. last Wednesday when a masked man stuck a gun in the QT clerk’s face and demanded the register money, according to a Dallas Police report. The suspect grabbed the cash, fled on foot and jumped into a dark-colored Acura driven by a female.

The witnesses tailed the Acura and continually updated the 911 operator on its whereabouts. Thanks to that information, police located the suspect vehicle, engaged in a brief chase and apprehended the suspects Adrian Luckey, 34, and Bernadette Turner, 32, in South Dallas.

As for the citizens who helped catch the alleged crooks, “Dallas police officers are greatly appreciative of their efforts.”

They add, however, that they do not want us to pursue suspects.

“For the safety of the citizens, it is preferred that witnesses only provide responding officers with their account of the incident.”

Note: I am trying to learn the identity of the two witnesses and will update this post when I know more.
