Last week we posted part 1-3 of our “Beside One Fern” videos, which included a brief question-and-answer session with each of the three District 10 City Council candidates aiming to take the place of termed-out councilman Jerry Allen come May 9.
This week, we post the “lightning round” interviews, during which candidates raced our clock to answer 20 (give or take) questions featuring varying levels of seriousness ranging from “hmm, interesting question” to “that’s ridiculous.” To a man, the candidates were gracious, witty and good sports, and we thank them for participating.
The Advocate does not make endorsements, and our only aim is to inform readers about your options, hopefully entertain you just a bit, and encourage you to make an informed vote. This is an important election, after all. The video series in its entirety can be found here, so feel free to binge. Videos are posted in the order the candidates are listed on the ballots. First lightning round video is James White. (Note: after the recording, White told us the “famous person” whose name he could not remember was Neil deGrasse Tyson).
