The Lake Highlands Area Improvement Association, the LH Chamber along with the Advocate will host a candidate debate Monday, April 13 from 7-8:30 p.m. at the Lake Highlands Freshman Center.
The Last Great Debate 2015 is a blind debate among the three candidates — Paul Reyes, Adam McGough and James White — meaning they will not know the questions ahead of time. Over the last several weeks, the Advocate and the LHAIA have been taking your questions, and we will draw from those Monday’s debate topics.
“This election is important because there’s a lot coming our way for redevelopment and improvement in the next five years,” says Murray Morgan, president of the LHAIA. “Not since the early 70s has Lake Highlands been in such a good position. If we sleep through this election, then it will be decades before these opportunities rise again. We need to turn promises to action by showing our strength at the polls.
But first, know who you’re voting for. That’s just common sense.”
