The Wranglers perform in London

Saturday, March 28: The Wildcat Wranglers host the 10th Annual RISD Dance-Off, their chance to compete with country and western dance and stunt teams from around the district. Proceeds benefit Healing Hands Ministries, a nonprofit medical and dental clinic here in Lake Highlands. Starts at 11:45 a.m. in the Lake Highlands High School auditorium. Tickets are $5 cash and will be sold at the door.

All weekend: Dallas Blooms — this year’s flower fest celebrates all things Texan. The show includes more than 500,000 spring-blooming bulbs and life-size Texas-themed topiaries, plus food and special activities celebrating the Lone Star State. March 28: Hoops in the Highlands — The neighborhood three-on-three tournament for boys and girls grade 1-8 features friendly competition, food and entertainment, and activities for the whole family, from 8 a.m.-6 p.m. Run by volunteers, the event has raised more than $300,000 in 11 years to support athletics at Lake Highlands Junior High, Lake Highlands High School, Northlake, Wallace and White Rock elementary schools.
