Meet local author Charlotte Raye at Half Price Books on Northwest Highway this Saturday, Jan. 17 from 2-4 p.m. Raye will sell and sign her paranormal romance “The Order of the Quest.” Books will be sold independently by the author while supplies last. Then on Sunday, Jan. 18, at 6 p.m, Mark Sullivan, an award-winning journalist, novelist and co-writer of the James Patterson “Private” series, will be there. Mark will discuss and sign his new thriller, “Thief,” the third book in the “Monarch” series. Books are available for purchase and specially-priced, while supplies last.

At the Bath House Cultural Center: Through Jan. 31, “Levitas: A Photographic Investigation of Weightlessness,” features  the works of seventeen photographers asked to create a photographic image that best captures their ideas of lightness, zero g-forces, defiance of gravity, airiness, levity and ethereality. The exhibit is free. Also through Jan. 31, the Bath House presents a mixed-media art exhibit showcasing recent works by Silvia Thornton and Anne Neal that exemplify what happens when an artist’s inspiration is applied to gifts from nature and earth. Bath House Cultural Center is located at 521 E.
