The JV team was also successful, with 18 wrestlers landing in the top 3 in their weight classes. Juniors Kevin Tran and Brandon Kaylor, sophomores Jason Graham, John Allen and Omar Cardenas, and freshman Ceu Lian took 2nd. Freshmen Brad Dabrowski and Avery Mulally were 3rd.

The team, under the leadership of legendary coach Pete Grieder, is on track to make another trip to state. First, though, they’ll have to face district rival Highland Park in the small gym at LHHS this Friday, Dec. 12. That match begins at 6:30 p.m., and the team would love to see you in the stands. Saturday morning, the team will be looking to repeat as Richardson ISD Champs, facing Berkner, Richardson and Pearce in the Richardson Quad. Action begins at 9 a.m. in the big gym. Go Cats!
