The Lake Highlands Highlandettes and the Wildcat Wranglers will perform at this year’s Dallas Children’s Health Holiday Parade – formerly the Adolphus Christmas Parade. Though it’s sporting a new name, the event is 27 years in the making and always takes place the first Saturday of December – Dec. 6th this year.

The Dettes and the Wranglers will do a special dance number together – a rare treat – in front of Dallas City Hall before the official parade gets started. Organizers haven’t given the teams a firm time, but they’ll perform in City Hall’s plaza some time after 8:30 a.m.

The parade begins at 10 a.m. at Market and Commerce, and performances really shine in front of the stands at the Adolphus Hotel. (You can see the parade route here.) Major street closings begin at 7 a.m., so be aware if you need to be downtown. Tickets for reserved bleacher seats can be purchased here, but standing along the route, of course, is free. The parade can be viewed on WFAA Channel 8 live.
