Lake Highlands friends are rallying around one of their own this month, as LH dad Baron Meliza faces a recent diagnosis of pancreatic cancer. Wife Allison is a preschool teacher at Lake Highlands Methodist Church’s CCDC and their daughters attend LHHS and LHFC.
Baron will meet with an oncologist this week to develop a game plan for fighting the disease, but surgery is expected followed by chemotherapy.
Baron has insurance, but concerned friends have set up a Give Forward fund to help with additional expenses, likely to mount as Baron and Allison miss work for his care. If you’d like to help, you may donate here.
