A few bits of neighborhood news that you may have missed this week…
- NBC DFW reports that the many peacocks roaming our neighborhood streets originate from White Rock Stables. The family farm has been home to some thirty peafowl since the 1950s.
- Despite closing its Addison location, Jakes Hamburgers in Lake Highlands will remain open, Dallas Business Journal reports. Jakes owners closed its Addison location with the intent to reopen nearby in a smaller space, according to the article.
- The latest issue (July 3-17) of Rolling Stone includes a piece on Lake Highlands High School grad Annie Clark (aka St. Vincent,) dubbing the musician, “the smartest indie-rock star of her generation.”
