A few neighborhood activities to check out this weekend:
- The Shops at Park Lane’s free outdoor summer movie series Movies Under the Moon kicks off with a screening of Disney’s Frozen Friday at 8:30 p.m.
- On Saturday head on over to Flag Pole Hill Park for the 20th annual Dog Day Afternoon. From 9 a.m.-1 p.m. this festival will feature all kinds of family-friendly activities, face painting, food trucks, and even a parade — all to benefit Operation Kindness. Free admission; more information is available here.
- For even more family fun on Saturday, visit the Forest Green Library from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. for the free kickoff party of the Mayor’s Summer Reading Club. Activities include carnival games, music and crafts. The Audelia Road Library hosts a repeat of the event later that day from 2-4 p.m.
