“Finishing School,” starring Gordon Fox and John Davies runs Friday-Saturday at the Bath House

This Friday, the Dallas Police Department will host a daylong cookout fundraiser to benefit a 30-year-old officer who was shot in the line of duty. Officer Joshua Burns was recently shot multiple times after responding to an emergency call at an apartment complex at Walnut Street and Audelia near Richland College. Later that same day suspect Rakeem Perkins turned himself in to Dallas homicide detectives. He remains incarcerated facing first-degree felony charges. The al fresco fundraiser/cookout/BBQ runs 10:30 a.m.-8:30 p.m. at the police station located at 9915 E. Northwest Highway (at Audelia). To make donations, volunteer or for further information, contact Gaston at Mitchell.gaston@dpd.ci.dallas.tx.us.
