Lake Highlands High School baseball begins today, with the Wildcats taking on South Garland in a scrimmage at home. First pitch is at 4:30 p.m. in the newly revamped field called The Cat, with new netted backstops, courtesy of the Wildcat Club and team parents, designed to improve the spectator experience.
There’s no charge for admission to the game, and the Cat Shack will be selling drinks, chips and snacks.
The Wildcats will host the Lake Highlands Classic Tournament March 6-8, a perfect chance to check out Richardson ISD rivals before the official season begins. The Cats open district play March 4 at 7 p.m. with a game at Berkner. We host our first home game March 11 at 7:30 p.m. against Skyline.
Go Cats!
