Remember when that deplorable attacker was on the loose and everybody in the neighborhood was on high alert and taking CHL and self-defense classes? And you know how sometimes months or a year after a bad thing happens we tend to forget about it and let our guard down? Well, the folks at Dallas Academy of Martial Arts are here to ensure that Lake Highlands people tweak their self-defense fundamentals by offering a free workshop for men, women and teens Saturday, Feb. 1 at 11:30 a.m.
This particular school is highly acclaimed. You might recall the story published last year in the Lake Highlands Advocate about the owner and head instructor Bobby Autry. You can read it here. The institution has endured some tough times, but apparently is thriving. Autry tells us the workshop will be conducted in a safe environment by the school’s instructors.
“You will have the opportunity to learn and try out techniques that could help you in any situation,” he notes.
Space is limited to 20 attendees so call immediately to reserve your spot: 214.343.3000. The school is located at 9644 Plano.
