If the temperatures have dipped near the freezing mark, you can bet it’s time for high school soccer.

The annual Richardson ISD Ice Bowl kicks off tonight, with the Lake Highlands High School men’s team facing North Garland at Wildcat Stadium at 7 p.m. On Friday, also at 7, the Cats play Richardson High. Saturday, they’re the noon game against Mansfield.

If they advance, they’ll play sometime after 4 p.m. on Saturday afternoon.

Lake Highlands soccer fans should clear their Saturday afternoon calendars.

The Wildcats were last year’s District Champs and began pre-season play this year 3-0. After this tournament concludes, they’ll begin district play Tuesday night with an away game – Big Berkner. They face district rival Jesuit at the Boneyard February 7. Playoffs begin after the season ends March 21st.

You can see the full district schedule online here.
