A 34-year-old Lake Highlands woman was robbed inside her garage her driveway Sunday evening by a knife-wielding man in a mask.

At about 10:30 p.m. the woman had parked in her driveway on the 9200 block of Northpoint Drive and was exiting her car when she saw a man behind her. He was wearing a ski mask and raising a knife over his head. When she screamed, he said “shhh” and reached for her purse.

When the perpetrator fled, the woman followed him and witnessed him leaving in a dark four-door vehicle parked a few houses down, according to police.

The victim described the criminal as a caucasian man in his 30s-40s, wearing a ski mask, medium build driving a dark-colored, beat-up sporty vehicle.

Says a fellow Northpoint Drive resident, “We do not have an alleyway so the man parked in front of my home and hid in her backyard waiting on her to get home,. Judging by the time, I would guess he either followed her home or scouted her house to find out what time she comes home at night.”
