What is being done to combat neighborhood crime? Because there is no shortage of discouraging reports, we regularly hear this question. Here is an example of one effort to thwart crime:
The Lake Highlands Citizen Action Team will get together next Thursday (Jan. 9) at 6 p.m.
“The purpose of this meeting is to bring citizens together, from all parts of Lake Highlands, to discuss concerns and brainstorm possible solutions to challenges affecting our area,” organizers note.
Rebecca Range, Executive Director of the Lake Highlands Public Improvement District, and the Northeast police division community prosecutor will address the group.
The Lake Highlands Public Improvement District and the location of the meeting is 9090 Skillman, next to El Fenix restaurant.
