Healing Hands Ministries, Lake Highlands’ own charity medical and dental health clinic, has been chosen one of 8 beneficiaries of Chi Omega Christmas Market. Chi O Christmas, celebrating its 36th year, has given away more than $6 million to a variety of non-profits, which are vetted by the Chi Omega Alumnae of Dallas sorority team before being chosen. Healing Hands also received funds in 2009.

Chi Omega Christmas Market has pledged $35,000 toward funding Healing Hands’ program for women and children.

Additional beneficiaries include Community Partners of Dallas, Foundation for the Education of Young Women, Just Say Yes, Make-A-Wish Foundation of North Texas, North Texas Food Bank, Sky Ranch, and Suicide and Crisis Center of North Texas. College scholarships will also be given.

Chi Omega Christmas Market, now in its second year at Fair Park’s Centennial Hall, draws 10,000 shoppers from around the metroplex each year. The event will be held Nov. 21-23, with a Preview Party Wednesday evening Nov. 20. Tickets can be purchased online here or in advance at a discount at Tom Thumb stores.

Parking is $10 at Fair Park’s gates 2 and 5. You can valet park for an additional $10.
