Lake Highlands Oktoberfest, the community fundraiser hosted by LH’s Exchange Club, was a roaring success by every measure Saturday, packing in crowds and raking in bucks via sponsorships and ticket sales.

Though a front blew through and the temps turned cooler as the day began, it seemed only to whet the partiers’ appetites for beer & brats and stoke families’ desires to get outside and enjoy the day. The rain held off until the Old 97s took the stage, but the veteran musicians took to Plan B and played acoustic tunes to a delighted crowd.
