Weekend crime reports from in and near Lake Highlands …

At about 8:30 Friday morning multiple students at a bus stop near Audelia and Walnut [Berkner attendance zone] witnessed an altercation that escalated into pistol pointing. According to two witnesses, a silver PT cruiser pulled up alongside a pedestrian, an 18-year-old male. The driver and the young man yelled at one another and a “heated argument” over a “stolen cell phone” ensued, witnesses and the complainant reported. Eventually the driver pulled a .45 semi automatic pistol from under her leg and pointed it at the man. She “waved around” the weapon long enough to freak out all the bystanders but never pulled the trigger, and she bolted before cops arrived. One witness identified the weapon-wielding woman, and a detective is following up on the tip, according to the report.

When he went back inside he said he saw a shadow on the wall and realized that someone was in his home. Ulloa confronted the interloper — a “Latino male, about 20 years old, 5’5 and skinny with a long face” — who escaped on foot. Ulloa reportedly chased the man but lost him in the apartment-complex maze.
